    • BackgroundDorset Oakes is at the Yellow Tree, south-east of the village of Staddle. Dorset Oakes has asked for your help in locating the book "On the Hardiness of Animals in the Wilderness", and has told you to speak with him when you are ready. He mentioned that the three pages of his father's catalogue would make finding the book much easier.
    DescriptionTIP: Best way is to go straight to the far right corner of books, count to the 9th shelf, it is in the corner

    TIP: The seven bokshelves against the wall opposite the entrance form section A numbered 1-7, from left to right. Sections B and C are along the right wall of the library, and sections D and E are against the left. the twelve bookshelves of section B are organized in a cresent shape with B1 being the nearest to A7, then moving in that way around the cresecent until it ends with B12.

    TIP: Summon pet once you get past the doors, kill the first goblin, stun the other.. search 2 shelves, stun again, 2 more, stun.. found it on B9... then run back and talk to him, out we go.

    Krusheer <Guest>Kill 1 goblin and keep 1 stunned... The other wave of goblins only comes when the last goblin of the duo is dead... so stun/ look at 2 bookshelf/ restun.. until you find the book (got mine in the B-8 section)

    Aaron <Guest>By the way, for anyone who does not know how the pages provide the clue to look to bookcase B-9 for the book, here is how to find the clue: In the second and third pages of text collected before starting the instance, a number of books are mentioned and the corresponding shelf numbers on which they can be located. One book is conspicuously missing, which happens to be the very book you are looking for. At the end of the text, the author wonders if there were any shelves he forgot about. Therein lies the solution. He did forget a shelf: the one with "On the Hardiness of Animals in the Wilderness" and along with it the shelf number it is on. Therefore it is simply a matter of elimination. If you write down all the shelf numbers listed in the text that have books assigned and compare it to the complete list of shelves mentioned during the description of the layout of the library, only one is missing: B-9.

    Sam <Guest>If you stay long enough to kill several waves of Goblins, a couple of purple Goblin Champions spawn that will pretty much kill you. You have to have a plan of where you're looking.

    Matrix <Guest>Yeah stunning the second goblin seems very nice way to do this quest.. just that i didnt know there will come lots of more goblins before I started the quest. After 3-4 pairs of goblins there will come lvl 16, 29 and 30 goblins, which makes searching pretty impossible. I hope I can reset the quest :)

The easiest way is to summon pet, kill first goblin, stun the other, dismiss pet so that he doesnt accidentally kill the goblin, then go to the far right corner where the set of bookshelves is in a horse-shoe shape. Looking towards the bookcases against the wall, its in the row on the right, the book case closest to the wall. Hope that clears things up

    Aland <Guest>I found the second page while killing Goblins in the east of the swamp near the hills and the lone-lands. If you have finished the quest of course you don't need the 2nd page but it is helpful to unravel the clues found on 1st & 3rd pages.

    Adolin <Guest>TY for all the tips. The stun method worked best after putting up my bear...Stun, 2 shelfs, stun 2 shelfs...and so on. Where MY book was...Ok, there are two Horseshoe book case areas on each side of the room. It is on the right side, the further one from the door. Once there, it was the last one on the right, before the wall. Good luck, and it is practically impossible to do without the stun methode, thanks all....good luck to the rest of you....

    another lm <Guest>I found the quest to be a bit easy actually. By the time you get this quest you've had mez for 5 levels. Plenty of time to get good at using it. Mobs coming at you 2 at a time are like an exp griners dream come true. I killed a few extra rounds just for fun. Just mez one, kill the other, then kill the first one. Rinse and repeat.

    Naralanna <Guest>Got this on 3rd try after just hitting level 16, thanks to the other tips. As you walk into the library, you should approach the second U-shaped bank of bookshelves on your right. You will see that the last shelf in the right side of the U, where it meets the base of the U, has a small wooden step or bench in front of it. That's the shelf that contains the book! On my 3rd try there was a goblin scout patrolling the room as I entered, so I put my bear on him, grabbed the book, and then helped my bear finish him off. We ran back to the questgiver and completed it without another goblin spawning. Good luck!

I read this here and, although all the info you need is here, it seemed a bit confusing. It is as simple as they say. Enter room, bookcases on right wall to rear, the bookcase you want has a rectangle timber in front of it. Ran in, grabbed it and got out before Goblins hit me.

    Agirobo <Guest>What your suppose to do is look at all the books and what shelves they are on, then whichever shelf doesnt have a book specified for it, that is the shelf (B9)
