  • The shade's alley lies near Bree's South-gate. You should return to the shade and let him know that the Bone Man has been defeated and the shades freed.
    • Background'Alas...I had hoped that my shield-brother would be easily freed, but I suppose it was not meant to be so.

    'I believe the Bone Man is somewhere in the southern reaches of the Barrow-downs, but in sooth I know not just where he may be found. Perhaps someone in this town has heard of him and can tell thee more than I.

    'I know I have no right to ask thee to face such a fearsome foe as the Bone Man, but for the sake of my shield-brother, I must. Please, search for the Bone Man and destroy him. Alas, I do not know if he can be defeated by a single warrior, even a mighty one, so thou shouldst take allies with thee upon this quest.'
    DescriptionThe shade in Bree still seeks to free his shield-brother from the curse that binds him to the shadow-realm and to Middle-earth, despite the grim news you brought to him.

    Conti <Guest>Soloead by a Minstrel 19, my main char, average equipment.Just use the two fears available(normal and deads one) in the reight moment, use only: Ballad of balance,resonance,steel,vigor.And piercing cry of course :) And healyourself when you need(when you use fear and no receiving damage)

    <Guest>Bone Man is a lvl 18 Elite with 1989 Morale. It is impossible for a Minstrel, no matter how well equipped, to take him on.

    Garnay <Guest>Soloed him when I was a 20, loremaster. He is range, use both range debuffs to lower his ranged damage to 25%. Its easy once he hits for low damage, no matter if he has 2k health or not.
