  • Use Calenthon's whistle on the southern slope
  • Defend Malloval
  • Bring Calenthon's whistle back to Calenthon
    • BackgroundThe slope south of Calenthon would be an ideal location at which to blow the whistle he gave you to summon Malloval. Calenthon gave you a whistle with which to summon his falcon, Malloval. He suggested you take friends for safety.
    DescriptionSPOILER: Blow the whistle at the pass right near Calenthon. You will then be able to track Malloval. He is up a hill not too far away. Once you reach the top you will need to defend him. (S 28.1, W 15)

    You don't have to escort Malloval very far, but you will want to clear all of the rats and undead near him, as they will assist. Clear them first them speak to him. You will get jumped by three mobs who you must defend him against.

    TIP: For the whistle: As you are looking South next to the campfire the small hill is on your right, across the path. For the path to the bird: Travel to the right, bear right along the incline up the hill.

    PHGamer <Guest>The whistle was worthless to me. All it found were the rats. However, the bird is at the location listed above, on the hill that is immeiate behind Calenthon. It is not the same hill that you blow the whistle on.

    Onji <Guest>You dont even have to stand in a hill to use the whistle, just go a few step south from Calenthon and you can use it.. :p

    Cyfier <Guest>this is easy now, you don't really have to escort him, i started it and the left him,i don't think the bird even moved to be honest. i ran northwrds to where 3 mobs spawn in two waves, easy enough to solo

    <Guest>Of course it's easy 3 levels above the quest level, particularly for a champion since it's an AoE quest. Try it as a level 12 hunter like me.

    <Guest>Well, it's not THAT easy but i solo'ed it first try with a 40 Champ, only have to kill 2 guys and a wight, all normal, no signature or elite, used Dire Need..

    CernunnasIt took me forever to find the place to blow the whistle, but its very easy. stand beside the npc at the campsite, look directly to the south, you will see a rock. its there, at the rock.
