Sort of hard to find <2007-06-08 22:44:47>
WilacarI took a group all over that area and had trouble finding the rider. If you enter the troll camp from the east, you will come to a large door guarded by 2 hillmen to your left. Go through this door to find the rider. There are many elites around, as well as a named elite NPC whose use is unclear to me. If you are not careful you will have to kill it to complete this quest. Horse should be on the ground in the middle of that area.

<Guest>yeah the map location is off. it's more north east by far.

Solo'd <2007-11-06 22:12:38>
Maddy <Guest>Solo'd with a 34 Burg. Easy :) No combat at all.

Don't Solo <2007-11-27 22:21:33>
HueterDon't try to solo this unless you are a burg or high level; elite trolls all around area.

<2008-01-19 22:27:57>
Tuck <Guest>Location is 36.6S 18.4 W

<2008-02-07 22:32:38>
Becks <Guest>Soloable at lvl 43 (champ) If you can wait do it at 44 as all the monsters should be grey and wont attack. Exact position is: '36.6S, 18.4W'

Soloing <2008-03-21 00:33:30>
SpartanMaximus <Guest>LOLZ, just solo'd it with my lvl 41 GRD, took mad skill one at a time and crazy sneaky skill, took me 30 min lol

<2008-03-29 19:50:47>
nrhk <Guest>If your an elf, use sylvan shadows, you have to go to the back corner where the archers are, take them out (you'll agro 2 at a time) then run to the center and get the horse. Easy

<2008-04-05 23:11:07>
Iorielin <Guest>Soloed it on a lvl 36 champ. was very fortunate to meet a fellowship that cleard my way, looked like a hard Q to totaly solo as it was 2 elites guarding the entrence.

<2008-05-25 00:05:23>
Skiu skiuskiu <Guest>Soled it by 42 lvl hobbit hunter... killed 5 mobs only

too hard for solo <2008-06-14 19:52:47>
Anon <Guest>Don't believe the comments about soloing this. The respawn rate is way too fast to solo it.

<2008-06-30 20:42:26>
Tony <Guest>This is soloable. It's not easy and it definitely requires certain skills. I have a level 43 champion and ran through it without terribly much trouble. Of course it also requires certain levels. 44 and above can pretty much run through as everything should be gray. More than half of it is if you're 43, too.

Quest <2008-07-01 22:31:57>
Kyle <Guest>This is easily soloable. i was level 40 champ and can easily solo it. they mobs respawn fast so just sneak around them

<2008-09-18 02:30:37>
Jess <Guest>Terrible to solo as a 41 captain, everything is green to light blue and usually I can send my pet into areas and send the pet far away to get an object before he dies but the trolls were stunning - really annoying!

how? <2009-04-27 04:24:55>
dude <Guest>cant im 45 and i only see 50s there? how can you solo 50s? wtf are u lying

easy as pie <2009-06-02 01:14:06>
Amber <Guest>for a 41 hobbit mini - use hobbit stealth to get past the first group of trolls. When you get to the gate, wait till the way is clear and there are only the 2 at the gate. Pull them back into the hill opposite the gate and take them out. Then, making sure the roaming troll is no where near the gate slip in and go immediately to the left, up to the corner. Use song of distraction on the nearby troll, then sneak behind him going to the back corner. Take out the guys under the tent, one by one, then take out the guy near the horse. I did get a troll, just pulled him back to the corner and sang a lot. Then run up to the horse, get the bridle, and either go out the way you came, or just run for it.

forgot to mention <2009-06-02 01:14:06>
easy as pie - 2 <Guest>I did this solo. Don't know what the dude means by saying there are 50s there. I think you're in the wrong place, dude.

<2009-08-17 11:58:39>
Redfield666 <Guest>The quest was modified and it's now not possible to solo at the normal level. The elite trolls have 5000 hp and they chain stun, making it impossible to kill them.

<2009-09-27 00:38:07>
Dissolved <Guest>Actually, I just solo'd minstrel. Go slow, distract trolls so you only fight one at a time

<2009-10-29 01:22:34>
sidereal <Guest>Just solo'd as a 40 Warden. It's fine as long as you can solo one elite at a time. Go up the right side of the canyon, through the 2 or 3 trolls you need there. When you get to the door, make sure the wandering troll is deep back in the fort and take out the two non-elite guards. Then take out the wandering troll when he comes in. Then go in and go left and take out the troll there. Make sure you pull him way up into the wall so respawns don't catch you. Then hug the left side and go around, take out the 2 or 3 non-elites there, wait until the respawned wanderer is away, and walk up to the horse. Easy peasy.
