  • Defeat Durub at Gazatu-ru (0/4)
  • Return to Dómárr
  • Background'The Durub have yet to take any real mis-steps yet, (your name). Given how deluded they are in regard to their status with the Dark Lord, I find that a bit queer. Despite their foolish pride, they must have some cunning captains among their ranks.

'However, I doubt not that the Durub army will crumble if we lop off its head. I have a plan for setting the Durub against Mazog's forces, but it will be hindered as long as the Durub's strongest leaders remain in control. Therefore, let us even the odds a little.

'Return south to Gazatu-ru and strike against their captains. The more of the captains that fall, the more likely my plans will succeed.'
DescriptionDómárr has determined that the Durub are being led by unusually clever captains, and that their threat is even greater than he first believed.,

    LOCATIONS:

    8.5S, 105.5W
    8.3S, 104.8W
    8.4S, 105.0W

TIP: Soon as you go in the entrance, turn left and a captain at end of hall (by bonfire). Theres another captain in the room next to it. By the time you kill the 2nd captain and come out, the 1st one you killed should have spawned (all of these mobs respawn very fast). Kill him, wait one min, go back in room and kill the same captain again. Note all the captains are not elite, easy like all the other ones. Killing respawns counts, you dont need to find 4 different captains all over the place. You can even camp in the same space and wait for 4 respawns if you wanted to.

TIP: From 21st Hall go south and then turn left at the T. Jump down near the Dwarf and fight your way south to 7.7S,104.6W where you will see a doorway just south of you. You should be able to work your way south through a couple of sets of guards that you have to kill one or two at a time (if you watch out for the numerous patrols). Look sharp to your right for a chance to scramble over some rubble into a larger hallway. Stay right but be prepared to fight two mobs just around the corner. Still keep right to the recess that's across from the captain you want to kill. You will find one mob in the recess and there's one that pats into that area from ahead of you (your right as you face the captain). Watch out for pats on the island near the captain, and you should be able to kill him easily with just one henchman. Unless you're killing these mobs two or three at a time with ease, you may just want to stay in this location for several minutes and kill the repops as they come. This is also a location where you can complete the follow-on quest. CASTERS BEWARE: the Marauders have a nasty aura that they pop at around 10% morale. It allows them to absorb all your spells and turn your energy into their morale. The way to beat this is with a stun when you see them don the aura. Heal up and wait for them to run out the clock on their aura, then you can down them with one good blast of destruction. It's not easy for a caster to defeat two of these guys at once unless you're lucky or have very high dps.

Ananisapta <Guest>This can be a very tough quest without the following information: From 21st Hall go south and then turn left at the T.
