Pocloco_bg <Guest>How do we summon The hart before the Root ?

Nik <Guest>Completed this today with a group of 5 around lvl 38-40. We had two minstrels and one just kept healing longbough during the final fight while the rest of the group ran between twisted heart and the roots. (You have to kill roots first, then twisted heart, then heart-rot but the roots keep respawning, which means running back and forth.)

RedtideWave of 4 elites come, then approx 1min-90secs later another 4 come. I died there, no idea what comes after.

pane <Guest>park the guard + minstrel at the roots/heart-rot spot, rest of the group (a burglar is VERY nice) kills the tree. Use green on FS skills. It's hard, but not impossible.

    stuff <2007-08-12 22:36:45>
Gavenerok you need to kill the roots then up top to the big tree by the pound kill on him till he goes npc then kill roots again back and forth till big tree is dead, there to let longbough aggro heart rot. then after big tree is dead all burn down heart rot

How to enter instance <2007-10-03 23:04:21>

lee <Guest>The way we did it had 1 lvl 47 tank at top all the time killing tree and me lvl 50 tank down takeing aggro from heart rot while the rest was killing roots easy as that :))

Laura <Guest>Done this three times - third time (28/12/2007) it was different. there was no twisted heart, just one set of roots and then heart-rot, much much easier. Can anyone confirm that the instance has been made easier or at least changed ? Also is level 40 quest, not 30.

Drizzt <Guest>just tried it today. 50 champ was to stupid to read the chat box so we died. But there was defiantly the twisted heart.

Goocrusher <Guest>Just need a minstral and did it with 5 people. The tank takes on boss and keeps him occupied while the rest of the team takes out the roots and the tree up top.Once the big tree is destroyed the boss falls like a deck of cards.

Paramveer <Guest>Here is what is needed to beat this quest. Tank and a Heal. Absolutely necessary. When your group gets to the Roots, kill the roots, Heart Rot will spawn - TANK on Heart-Rot somewhere away from the roots, one healer on tank. The rest of the group - Kills Roots - Goes back up to kill tree - then goes back down to kill roots - then goes back up to kill tree - Keep on repeating until the tree is dead - All this while the tank is keeping Heart Rot busy in some corner. Then once the tree is dead, the whole group jump on heart rot and kill him. Easy.

    Strategy <2009-04-21 22:37:26>
Paramveer <Guest>Actually, the tank isn't really that important, if there's no tank in the group, just get the heart-rot close to Longsbough so they start fighting each other, then just set a healer on Longsbough, let him tank the heart-rot while the rest of the group attack the roots, tree, then roots, tree, repeat until the tree is dead.
