    • BackgroundLore of the Blade seems to be a rather unusual tome for a Lore-master to express interest in. Rather than delving deeply into the hidden mysteries of mountains, or discussing at length the habits of wave and wind, it reads more like a rousing tale of adventure written to entertain hobbit-children. The pages of Lore of the Blade claim to follow the adventures of a brave young Lore-master who when confronted with deadly dangers is just as apt to fight her way through with flashing swordplay as to confound her opponents with the lore of the elements or the wisdom of long forgotten sages. Oddly, as you find yourself drawn into the stirring tale you begin to see the more subtle nuances of the story unfold through the eyes of its character, who displays an uncanny insight into the nature of the foes she faces, and an understanding of when the strength of arms applied at the correct moment may indeed be the least destructive course. Unfortunately, some prior reader has handled this copy rather poorly and some of the pages are torn beyond repair. The author also proves to be a bit difficult to pin down, as he has chosen to identify himself solely by the runic letter 'G' inscribed on the binding.
    DescriptionThis is a legendary book quest. The quest begins when you read the legendary book of the same name. You must then turn this book in to Gandalf at the Last Homely House in Rivendell. Finally you must collect the pages of the book and examine them.

    TIP: The first four pages can be looted off of any non-creature (Men, Dwarf, Goblins, and Orc) mobs in Angmar. The last four pages can be looted off of non-creature (Men, Dwarf, Goblins, and Orc) mobs in the Misty Mountains.

    <Guest>You can't buy on auction house. The pages you need will only drop for you. First four I found on orcs and morrevals in Earth-kin quest area in southern Angmar. I believe the best place for the last four is Ongbishuk Orc camp in E. Malenhad.

    <Guest>Yes, they can be obtained in a fellowship as long as you loot the mobs. Others cannot see the pages so you will not get the roll option

    mike <Guest>I found that for the pages found in MM, dwarves have the highest drop rate. Didn't take me long to get all 4 from them, and that was after I went thru the whole goblin camp without getting a single one.

LOCATIONS: Misty Mountains: -3 pages from the Goblins at the Caldwell Pool -1 page from the Hill Men just outside Helegrod Angmar: -3 pages from the Orcs in Burzum Pusdug -1 page from the Iron-Crown Necromancers in Imlad Balchorth! Have Fun!

    <Guest>The Orcs east and slightly south of the Earth Kin area in South Angmar dropped 2 pages in a half hour last night. I'll see if my luck continues there, plus there's the bonus of a few quests to do for the Earth Kin in that same area.

    <Guest>Got the first four in Angmar from the Angmar hillman in the fields around Donnovail, the MM ones were tougher for me, first i went to cadwell pool, and got one page after a hour, so i went and i killed every man in the Burning stair at least 6 runs through, and went to goblin town as well, and nothing dropped. So i went back to the goblin camps near Cadwell Pool and the rest of the 3 pages droped in about 30min. FINAL: Angmar- Men around Donnovail MM: Goblins in Cadwell Pool area.

    joel hutteri <Guest>KK in 4 hours i got these pages in only two places - 4 at caldwell pool in the misty mountains from the gobblins with shields - then the other 4 in burzum pusdug in Angmar... dont run all over middle earth looking just stay in those two places and you will get them in a decent time :D

    judgy1 <Guest>All pages dropped pretty quickly in the areas given. Page 18 (last page to find) however.... Done 5 hours of farming (yes, top 4 so angmar and I&#039;m in angmar :P) and hasn&#039;t dropped so far.... The rest I had in less then 2hrs including traveling (not mapping :P)...

    Axecleaver <Guest>You can buy the book to start the deed on the AH. But I don&#039;t think you can buy the pages, I look on the AH and never see them there.
