    • BackgroundCandaith is at his camp at the foot of Weathertop.
    The Ranger Candaith asked you to assist him in driving a company of Orcs from Weathertop. He told you to gather allies and return to him when you are prepared.
    DescriptionTIP: This group quest takes place in an instance of Weathertop. It goes like most instances, you must keep Candaith alive. At one point he will split off with you and you go on your own.

    megafanlotrthis is not an impossible quest. take a full fellowship with to healers, atleast 1 or 2 tanks and some ramdoms. on the way up is easy but at the top, i know its hard but you need to think of a plan within your group, i say keep the the orcs of the healers as much as possible so they can heal people. One healer heal 2 people and the other heal the other two. Tanks go for rurik and ramdoms the orcs. when rurik is dead all people go for mountain troll. mistrels can but they still have to do healing. gd luck everyone it does take a few goes. p.s if you die don't retreat get one of the mintrels to reserct you. If both minstrels are out them one f them could do the long walk.

    aethelhelma useful tip on this is that although leaving the area resets the instance, if the last one alive resets it and stays just outside the arena, the rest of the quest does not respawn so everyone can get back up there and regroup to just do the last section. i did it with capt, healer, burglar, hunter, tank and champ all 21-23. key is to make sure when the fellowship skills come up, all press blue so you get power boost otherwise everyone runs out of power

    <Guest>Like so many other quests in this game, the rewards are crap compared to the difficulty of the quest. It's fun to fellowship for the earlier part, but at the top with the Elite Master 9k+ health boss, it's not worth the effort. 3 party wipes and massive repair bills all around to get crappy yellow rewards? No thanks.

    Zelwen <Guest>took us a while to figure out when u try to get thru the gate... n Candaith tells u to take a torch.. u have to light a fire with the torch right outside the locked gate (its a pile of wood) Just run up to it with the torch in your hand. It will signal the orcs... be careful...they come thru the gate after u kill then u can continue

    Canuckistanian <Guest>Almost soloed with a 38 level hunter. Got to the very top, had the Uruk Hai level down to 100 and was swarmed by the minions. Still think it is possible to finish this solo.
