| Background | The spider-nest is to the north-west of Overhill town centre, past the wall and the lumber-yard. Shirriff Smallburrow sent you to Gammer Boffin in Overhill to obtain something to dissolve the spider-webs blocking the way to the nest. Gammer warned you that the mixture dries quickly, so you must hurry. She also mentioned a nursery story about a walking tree in Bindbole Wood that might serve as an ally...if it even exists. |
| Description | SPOILER: You escort walking tree. Once you find the tree, don't take the quest yet. Go through back out to the twin pillars and clear out all the spiders if possible. Then start the quest. Its pretty straight forward, but spiders sometimes drop down from above, so stick with the tree. The tree does a good job of defending itself but its morale sucks so don't let it fight a single spider alone. Also use the tab to target enemies, the tree is large and spiders can come from the rear, and point and clicking usually targets the tree. Bring a buddy or two, as it helps, but you can do it solo. |
